Love Without Borders: An Italian Engagement

Chianti Region, Tuscany

Leila and Marco had one request for their engagement session: 'Make it feel like a film.' We flew to Tuscany and spent two golden evenings doing exactly that.

We believe strongly in destination engagement sessions. They push couples out of their comfort zones, remove the familiar backdrop of everyday life, and replace it with something that makes every frame feel cinematic.

Leila and Marco met in Florence while studying architecture. It made perfect sense to return to Italy for their engagement — and specifically to the rolling hills of Chianti, where the rows of cypress trees seem to have been planted by some romantic deity.

Day one was all about the landscape. We drove to a hilltop villa at 5 PM and waited for the sun to fall. The couple was instructed simply to walk, to talk, to forget we were there. The results speak for themselves.

Day two we focused on intimacy — close portraits in an olive grove, hands intertwined, whispered moments only they could hear. These are the images they will one day show their children.
